Swim Lesson FAQs
How long are swim lessons? Swim lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length. We recommend starting with 30 minute lessons unless the swimmer is experienced.
Can non-members take swim lessons? Yes! However, non-members are not permitted to use the pool outside of their lesson time.
What is your cancellation policy? Lessons must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Lessons not cancelled 24 hours in advance and no-shows will be charged the full lesson rate.
What if a bio-hazard results in the cancellation of a swim lesson? Unfortunately, although we do our best to prevent bio-hazards, they do happen. If a bio-hazard should result in the cancellation of your lesson we will try to reschedule you for later that day. Unfortunately this isn't always possible. If we cannot reschedule your lesson at a time convenient to both you and the instructor, your lesson will be cancelled and you will not be charged. If a lesson is interrupted in the middle of the lesson your lesson will be pro-rated or you may make up the time during a future lesson, provided the instructor has availability.
What if I'm running late? Our instructors typically have 5-7 lessons scheduled back to back. For this reason, extensions to lessons usually cannot be made. If you are not on the pool deck within 15 minutes of your lesson start time, your lesson time may be forfeited and you will be charged the full lesson rate.
Do you sell packages of multiple lessons for a discounted rate? No, we no longer sell packaged lessons.
Can adults take lessons? Although most of our clients are children age 2-18, we do offer lessons for adults. Please let us know whether you're a beginner, interested in learning the strokes, or what it is you want to work on with an instructor.
What should I bring to a lesson? Make sure all swimmers have goggles and a towel. Children age 3 and under must wear a swim diaper while in the pool, no exceptions. If you are in need of goggles or a swim cap, we recommend the items listed here.
