Grown Up Swimming
Summer League Swimming…for Adults!
For decades, our community has built a love of swimming through our youth summer league program, the Sharks, serving swimmers ages 4–17. Now, we’re excited to bring that same spirit, energy, and connection to the grown-ups—because fun in the pool shouldn’t have an age limit.
In partnership with Grown Up Swimming, we’re thrilled to introduce a summer league swimming experience designed just for adults.
This program is intentionally flexible, low-pressure, and (most importantly) fun. There are no required practices and absolutely no obligation to compete—unless you want to show off those hidden talents. We’ll provide optional practice sets for anyone looking for structure, but swimmers are free to train on their own schedule—whether that’s during lap swim at the club or wherever you prefer to make a splash.
Whether you’re a former competitive swimmer, someone who hasn’t touched a starting block in years, or just looking for a new way to stay active and meet great people, this program meets you exactly where you are. Join us for meets, swim for fun, or simply enjoy saying, “Yes, I’m on a swim team now.”
Here’s how it works:
Sign up to join us as a Grown Up Shark. LCFCC’s pool is open for dedicated lap swimming Tuesday–Sunday from 7:00–11:00 AM, and lap swimming is also welcome during recreational swim hours. Whenever it works for you, head to the pool and get your practice in—no assigned practice times, no pressure.
Each week, we’ll send out a variety of optional workouts so you can pick and choose what fits your schedule and goals.
If you’re feeling competitive, we’d love to see you at one of Grown Up Swimming’s meets across Southern California, representing our club. These meets aren’t just about racing—they’re about community. Many include a generational relay, where your kids can jump in and compete alongside you, followed by a team dinner to keep the fun going.
Not interested in competing? That’s perfectly fine. You can still join to stay active, have fun, and enjoy the incredible sport of swimming.
There’s no cost to participate in our asynchronous practices. If you’d like to join meets (which we’d love!), there’s a small fee paid directly to Grown Up Swimming to help cover meet entry costs.
Just want to get in on practices? Let us know—we’ll start sending workouts the first week of May.
