Lexie started with the Sharks as a swimmer at the age of 5. After competing for many years, she joined LCFCC's coaching staff as an Assistant Coach in 2013. After assistant coaching for three years, Lexie became Head Coach in 2016. Lexie graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in 2019 and is a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of America. Lexie's most recent puppy, Hathi, was her 7th trainee. Hathi is currently in formal guide dog training and we look forward to inviting the Sharks to her graduation as a working guide dog!
Katharine has been a swimmer at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center for 6 years and is joining her high school team for the first year at La Canada High School. She swam as a Shark before joining the Rose Bowl and is so excited to be on the team again. Katharine is starting her Girl Scout Gold Award this year and is a current puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of America! Katharine is raising her first puppy, Noodle, who is preparing to return to Guide Dogs of America to begin formal training. Katharine loves hanging out with other swimmers, playing with animals, volunteering, and dancing at swim meets.
Hannah has swam competitively since 2012. She swam on the team previously for 4 years. Hannah is a freshman at La Canada High School and loves exploring, science, and being with friends. Hannah loves being a swimmer and is super excited to be a swim coach for the Sharks! She has always loved being on a team and having teammates and coaches to support her. She is hoping that she’ll be able to be as supportive as her past coaches, current coaches, and teammates. Hannah can’t wait to see what this swim season brings!
Janel has been swimming since she was a baby. Currently she swims on the Rose Bowl swim team. Teaching children to swim while having fun, and boosting their skills and confidence, is very rewarding to her. She has worked with children of all ages and abilities in and out of the pool as a tutor and as a swim teacher, and teaching kids to swim brings together two of her passions - swimming and kids. She also loves music and sing in her school choir and play violin for her school orchestra at LCHS.
Hi! I'm Hathi, a female yellow lab born on September 4th, 2018. I spent the first year and a half of my life with my puppy raiser, Lexie. I got to know the Sharks pretty well, and boy do I miss them! Back in February I returned to Guide Dogs of America to finish up my training. I was doing a great job in training, but was too eager to please. I struggled with disobeying my handler, making intelligent disobedience a challenge. I was adopted by a longtime LCFCC member and am living a wonderful life!
Hi! My name is Noodle. I'm a puppy in training for Guide Dogs of America being raised by Coach Katharine! I am getting ready to return to Guide Dogs of America this Spring, but look forward to sharing my adventures in formal training with you!
