Lexie Dreyfuss Aquatics Director/Head Coach

Lexie started with the Sharks as a swimmer at the age of 5. After competing for many years, she joined LCFCC's coaching staff as an Assistant Coach in 2013. After assistant coaching for three years, Lexie became Head Coach in 2016. Lexie graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in 2019 and a M.A. in Special Education, Option in Orientation and Mobility in 2022. Lexie currently works as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist. In her spare time, Lexie is a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of America. Her current puppy, Shellie, is her 15th trainee! Lexie is also a breeder host to two GDA Breeders, Nani and Lillee, and volunteers in the Guide Dogs of America Breeding Department. Lexie also loves to travel, and tries to visit at least one new country each year!

Ryann
Coach Ryann Assistant Coach

Ryann is a rising sophomore at La Cañada High School and has been swimming with the La Cañada Sharks since the age of 6. She looks forward to each swim season and has developed a strong love for the sport over the years.

At school, Ryann is actively involved in athletics, running cross-country and track and playing soccer. She also enjoys being part of the orchestra as a violinist and participating in theater productions.

Outside of school and sports, Ryann loves spending time at the beach and pool and enjoys everything that comes with summer. In her free time, she can often be found reading or spending time with friends.

Coach Grace Assistant Coach

Grace is an incoming sophomore at Crescenta Valley High School. She first started swimming at La Cañada Country Club four years ago and joined a competitive club swim team almost three years ago, where she continued to grow her skills and passion for the sport. Grace also plays on her school’s varsity water polo and varsity swim teams.

In school, she is energetic, enjoys socializing, and often takes on leadership roles in her classes. Through both academics and athletics, she has developed strong teamwork, communication, and management skills.

Grace is extremely excited to be coaching this summer, meeting new people, and helping young swimmers improve their stroke technique and confidence in the water. She is passionate about creating a fun, encouraging environment where kids can work hard, build skills, and reach their full potential while enjoying the sport.

Coach Aaron Assistant Coach

Aaron is currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at California State University, Northridge, with the goal of becoming a Physical Therapist. He brings over 14 years of competitive swimming experience, having trained and competed with some of the top club programs in the area. Early in his career, his relay team ranked Top 3 in Southern California and Top 10 nationally, helping to build a strong foundation in both performance and technique. He also continued his swimming career at the high school level as a Division 1 athlete.

Aaron brings confidence and enthusiasm to his coaching, especially when working with younger athletes. He is passionate about developing swimmers not only in speed and performance, but also in technical proficiency and long-term growth in the sport.

He currently serves as the JV Head Boys Water Polo Coach, Assistant Varsity Girls Water Polo Coach, and JV Head Swim Coach at Crescenta Valley High School, where he continues to grow his leadership skills and positively impact athletes across multiple levels.

Aaron is excited to continue contributing his knowledge and experience in his second season with the La Cañada team. Outside of coaching, he enjoys staying active through weight training, competing in a masters water polo league, and spending time outdoors. He is also fluent in both English and Korean, allowing him to connect with a diverse group of athletes and families.

Coach Amelia Assistant Coach

Amelia began swimming at the age of 8 and grew up training at the Rose Bowl and with the La Cañada Sharks, where she competed for many years. Swimming has remained a central part of her life, and she is currently a high school varsity swimmer as well as a varsity volleyball player.

In addition to her athletic background, Amelia works as a lifeguard and has spent much of her life around the water, both at the pool and the beach. She has also grown up with dogs and continues to enjoy being around animals.

Outside of sports, Amelia enjoys going to the beach, practicing yoga, hiking, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. She is passionate about health, nutrition, and exercise, and enjoys helping younger swimmers build confidence, improve their skills, and have fun in the water. Amelia is excited to share her love of swimming and support others in growing both in and out of the pool.

Coach Levon Assistant Coach

Levon has been swimming competitively for over 15 years and playing water polo for 9, with the past 2 years dedicated to coaching. He has worked with a wide range of ages, from 1 to 18, at the YMCA, helping young athletes develop both skills and confidence in the water. A former high school varsity water polo MVP, Levon transitioned into coaching and played a key role in leading Crescenta Valley High School to its first league championship in 10 years as part of the varsity coaching staff. Outside of the pool, Levon enjoys hiking, going to the beach, spending time with friends, meeting new people, being around dogs, and trying new things. He is an open and social individual who is passionate about building confidence both in the water and among peers. Levon is fluent in both Armenian and English.

Coach Caitlin Assistant Coach & Swim Lesson Instructor

Coach Caitlin has been coaching the Sharks since 2024. A recent graduate of Immaculate Heart High School, she will be attending Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, where she plans to study engineering and compete on the varsity volleyball team.

In addition to her coaching experience, Caitlin was a Sharks swimmer from ages 13 to 17, making the program especially meaningful to her. The Sharks hold a special place in her heart, and she is passionate about supporting and encouraging every swimmer on the team. Caitlin looks forward to remaining part of the Sharks family for many years to come.

Coach Taylor Swim Lesson Instructor

Taylor has been working with LCFCC Aquatics for almost four years now. She has learned so much in her time here and is always ready to support everyone on their swimming journey.

During the school year, she works as a behavioral assistant at an elementary school, providing support for autistic students from preschool through fifth grade. She has been working with children for over 10 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

Taylor has associate degrees in both psychology and world languages/global studies.When she is not working, Taylor enjoys reading, spending time with her family, learning new languages, and traveling.

Coach Sarah Swim Lesson Instructor

Sarah is a rising high school senior and has been swimming on her school's Varsity swim team for the past several years. Swimming has always been one of her favorite activities because of the friendships, teamwork, and fun that come with it. She loves helping younger swimmers gain confidence in the water and hopes to pass along the same excitement for swimming that she has developed over the years.

In addition to swimming competitively, Sarah works as a seasonal lifeguard at a sports camp during the summer. She enjoys staying active and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Whether she's at swim practice, the beach, or relaxing by a pool, she is usually happiest when she's around the water and under the sun.

Outside of swimming, Sarah loves trying new cafés and restaurants, hanging out with friends, playing pickleball, and going snowboarding any chance she gets. She loves making new memories whenever she travels and goes out, but also when having a chill day indoors.
